MQTT Engine Rebirth request

MQTT Engine can request a Node or Device level REBIRTH request using the Rebirth tag under the Node Control or Device Control folders. See the ME: Tags documentation for details.

When MQTT Transmission receives the Rebirth command it will resend its cached NBIRTH and DBIRTH messages without disconnecting or sending DEATH messages first. This means a that the new BIRTH will only contain the same metrics/tags that were in the original BIRTH message.

Block Device Commands must be disabled in order the DCMD to be published by Engine

MQTT Transmission Refresh

Setting the Refresh tag at MQTt Transmission will force all Edge Nodes to disconnect and reconnect resulting in the sending of NDEATH, NBIRTH and DBIRTH messages. A refresh does a full scan of the tag tree and will include any new tags that may have been added since the last BIRTH.

A refresh can be performed at the Transmission level for all Edge Nodes or on an individual Edge Node. See the MT: Tags documentation for details
