Overview

The Opto 22 groov EPIC and SNAP PAC Driver module is an Ignition driver for accessing Tags directly from Opto 22 groov EPIC and SNAP PAC™ controllers.

The driver will scan all variables and I/O points designated as "Public" in PAC Control and supports all groov EPIC and SNAP PAC controllers and SoftPAC™ software-based controllers with PAC firmware R9.2c or higher

Prerequisites

Configuration Steps

There are only three steps to getting all of the data available from an Opto 22 groov EPIC and SNAP PAC controller into Ignition

  1. From OPC UA Device Connections, create the device connection to the Opto 22 groov EPIC and SNAP PAC controller
  2. Wait until the Status shows "Connected". This may take several seconds depending on the source and number of tags.

If the status doesn’t change to “Connected,” check the following:

    • The controller’s IP address is correct in the module’s configuration.
    • The controller is active on the network.
    • The controller has tags to report. (If there are no tags in the controller, you can resolve the issue by starting a PAC Control strategy that uses the controller as its control engine.)
  3. Get tags from the Opto 22 groov EPIC and SNAP PAC controller
